High Precision Enhancements for Flawless Results
In today’s competitive print market, adding value to your print products is essential. A value-added application like spot coating, texturing, and tactile effects can significantly enhance the look and feel of your printed materials. Furthermore, it helps tell your customer’s story. These embellishments play a crucial role in strengthening their visual identity and help them stand out from the competition.

The Duplo DDC-810 Pro takes this a step further by offering raised spot UV coating with exceptional precision. Unlike traditional methods that require dies or screens, the DDC-810 Pro uses digital technology to streamline the process. Its advanced camera registration system and registration marks ensure flawless alignment with the printed sheet, automatically adjusting the spot layer with pinpoint accuracy every time.
Profitability in a Compact Solution
The Duplo DDC-810 Pro doesn’t just offer cutting-edge capabilities—it does so in a compact, space-efficient design that fits seamlessly into even the most limited production spaces. Its sleek and streamlined footprint allows you to expand your service offerings without the need for significant floor space or a large capital investment.

With this versatile machine, you can easily create high-margin, value-added jobs directly from your own print shop. By leveraging digital spot UV technology alongside your existing digital presses, you can rapidly increase profitability and generate an additional revenue stream—driving a quick return on investment.
Amplify Perceptions of Value with Spot UV
Whether you’re adding a raised logo to a business card or creating luxurious texture for product packaging, spot UV enhancements make a lasting impression. Moreover, the tactile experience—such as the textures on a luxury car seat or the refreshing look of ice-cold droplets on a beer ad—engages customers in a unique way. The Duplo DuSense Spot UV Coater drives higher engagement and leads to increased customer response rates.
For even more impact, consider laminating your sheets before applying spot UV to create a matte contrast. The DFL-500 and DFL-700 Foil/Laminators are cost-effective solutions that work perfectly with the DDC-810 Pro. These versatile machines can be used to laminate your prints and/or to apply raised foil effects on top of the polymer coating – elevating your designs to an entirely new level of appeal.
How Spot UV Works with DuSense
Design the Print and Spot Layers: Create your 1-up CMYK artwork in Illustrator. Then, duplicate the layer to create the spot UV file and convert the design to “black and white”. Define the areas where you’d like the spot UV applied by using black. For non-spot UV areas, leave blank or use white.
Apply Imposition and Registration Marks: Prepare both the CMYK and spot layer files by applying registration marks to ensure proper alignment during the embellishment process. Then save both files in PDF.
Send the File to Print: Now that the files are ready, print the CMYK file on a digital press. Load the printed sheets on the DuSense and upload the matching spot layer file to the PC Controller.
Apply the Spot UV: Finally, the DuSense applies the varnish to the designated areas via its digital inkjet technology. Sheets are immediately cured, making them ready for the next step in finishing like cutting and folding.
